On Saturday we held our first exhibitors table at the first Melton Mowbray Super Con!
The event was a fantastic day out for us, both as visitors and exhibitors, and there was plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
One of the hightlights of the day for us was the fantastic Lez Hammersley, a comedy hypnotist whose show had us in stitches from start to finish.
There were also hugely popular lightsaber training workshops that ran throughout the day, the fantastic up close magician Rich Reynolds who was leaving people in awe all over the convention, pirates with parrots and Pandora’s Box Zoo Days, complete with reptiles and cuddly-looking creatures, that were massive hits with children and grown ups alike.
There were also many other attractions dotted around the venue, a Transformer showed up for the day and the East Midlands Garrison Star Wars cosplayers were there in full force (see what I did there?! Force like the force! I’ll show myself out). There was also Star Wars Hoth Wampa and droids scenes for people to have their picture taken with.
As well as us, there were many other traders selling fantastic goods, from lego minifigures to tarot cards, there was something for everyone.
There was a cosplay competition for the children and it was the most adorable thing you could possibly imagine.
Overall, we feel the day was a fantastic success, it was well organised and well attended and we had a great time. Savage Beast Events did an absolutely incredible job putting everything together, and ensuring the day ran smoothly. We are a little disappointed we didn’t take more pictures, but we were having so much fun we didn’t really think about doing it! Hopefully there will be another Melton Mowbray Super Con next year, if so we’ll definitely be there!
